Chemicals, litter, PVC pipes, growth hormones into the water supply – all are being blamed on marijuana growers who use wilderness areas to grow their crops. The CNN article says amongst other outright lies and half-truths –

“People light up a joint, and they have no idea the amount of environmental damage associated with it,” said Cicely Muldoon, deputy regional director of the Pacific West Region of the National Park Service.

Right. How about giving the rhetoric a rest and use your head, Cicely. It is the moronic laws that make growing cannabis a big money-maker, the overzealous law enforcement of those moronic laws and the criminal and inhumane punishment of people that get caught with pot that pushes prices to the point where it is worthwhile to go many miles into wilderness area to plant the crop.

You would think that by now the politicians and policemen would notice all the harm caused by drug laws – now you can add environmental damage to the list of damages done by the real criminals – the law makers.
